Dell reportedly took the wraps off its China-only smartphone project early Monday in China with the launch of the Dell Mini3i, according to the Chinese blog Netease. I'm not sure how this device relates to earlier attempts by Dell to enter the smartphone market, but judging by the Mini3i's specs, it's not hard to see why U.S. carriers have so far been unimpressed with Dell's mobile device efforts. Nearly 41% of posts on the micro-blogging service Twitter are “pointless babble” in the vein of “I am eating a sandwich now,” says a 2-week study by Pear Analytics. The analytics firm says the second-most-common type of posts (37.6%) are conversational, meaning tweets that go back and forth between people like a public version of instant messages. Nearly 6% are self-promoting posts, such as messages about products. The firm also found that 3.75% of tweets are spam and 3.6% contain news from big media outlets. Full Story;
